Go to New York tomorrow ... stores?

Only going for three days .. outside Bloomingdale's, Saks, Macy's and Barney's, can anyone recommend fresh, less obvious stores or vintage shops? Also, anyone know of these things selling in the sample, or places where the rich girls drop their clothes and are sold at a lower price? I sound very weak, I know! Also, be cheaper branded goods there? How could I expect to pay for a cheapish Louis Vuitton or Chanel bag? And yes, before you tell me, I know the dollar is weak right now! Ah, you're a savvy customer effect. . . search of those cast-off clothes from well-to-do. I like your style! Sometimes there is a vast constellation of stores like these on New York's Upper East Side. It is ironic, as the SIU is one of the most prosperous regions of Manhattan. No doubt these are the "Rich Girls" you say lay their clothes are. Specifically, go at Third Avenue and walk to and from 77th Street to 90th Street. All world class hospitals in the area (Sloan-Kettering, Columbia-Presbyterian, etc.) operate thrift shops in the corridor, and the bargains are fantastic! They both menswear and women, and while you can not predict what that the goods they have, you can certainly be assured of a very good price: I once had a $ 2500 Paul Stewart jacket for $ 50!
