How do I join a vintage crochet edge of a pillowcase that has small holes in the board? HELP!?

I removed the edge of an old pair of pillowcases my mother had embroidered when the old cases has become unusable. I would like to reuse the border. I embroidered a new pair of cases that have holes near the edge with a raw edge underneath. Then I drag the edge of the m hooked into holes in the case with wire white embroidery, or even simple white wire? What should I do about the border? Thank you for any help with this, and since I am "challenged Artisanal" the simpler the better! Thank you!

Yes, you can just sew the crochet edging on the pillow. With the raw edge, which on the first hem that As you have a clean line at the edge? Not sure how that would work well with your holes. If you do not cover the holes, you can always sew on hook the pillowcase. Happy sewing!
