I just bought a vintage black slip, what is the best way to wash it?
He is old enough and the material is silky / thinnish. Should I wash my hands? I'm afraid to send it to the cleaners ...
Hello I own a vintage clothing store and collect lingerie vintage, then I wash these types of slides all the time. They are usually made of nylon. Hand wash in 1 / 2 strength Woolite and water (half of what the bottle tells you to use) and hang to dry away from direct sunlight. Do not clean a sheet, never. BTW dish soap works but it leaves a film you cons can smell your skin, yuck. Save it for the dishes!
