Is the term Slinky outfit negative?

I want to know if I should take this as an insult or not.
My husband and I were at dinner with friends of ours whom are married. The conversation turned to how they dressed to match each other because they had the same color shirts on.
My husband’s friends than turns to my husband and said “what you could not find a slinky outfit to match your wife?” Should I take the term slinky as inappropriate attire or does it mean anything negative?
I had on a black halter top with jeans and heels. I am not fat so wearing a shirt like is not inappropriate in that sense but I do not want to embarrass my husband if I was showing too much skin.
Should I take it as a personal insult or think nothing of it.
I was dressed for the occasion.

It's nice.
You know how the toy, Slinky, kinda slides itself over steps to 'walk'? In clothing, 'slinky' indicates having smooth lines, and the connotation of smoothness, or nice curves, is implied.

Now if he'd said, "she slinks around", let the fight begin.
