Do any of you ladies know anything about vintage purses?

I saw one in a thrift store this afternoon with a tag inside that read, ' Tucker Handbags St. Louis '. It appeared to be older - maybe 50's or 60's, and in like new condition, possibly unused. It was very simple with a small ' pocket ' inside for maybe some lipstick or some other small item a woman might carry. It had a clasp for opening / closing and was a very attractive green in color. They were asking $5 for it. So, whadda ya think, worth it or not...?

Hm, I'm not an expert on vintage purses, but I'm sure if you do a little research using Google and what was printed on the tag, you might find something out about it. Sometimes the best collectibles can be found at thrift stores. Beware though, many times purses like that can be fakes. Even if it's not extremely valuable, I'm sure you'd be able to make a profit, since it's only $5. I don't know if you would think it's worth it or not, since I know Ebay charges you to list items, so that's your call. But make sure it's not a fake before you advertise it as a collectible/original.
