Dying Satin Shoes. Any tips?
I have some ivory satin shoes to dye burgundy. There is a dye available for satin shoes specifically but not in the colour I want. I looked on the internet for tips as to how to go about it & didn't find a consistant idea. Has anyone got any useful tips please? I've got the dylon multidye powder in the disc that you mix with water but have a distant memory as to the quantities being different from the instructions.
I have dyed shoes for so long, some two and three times, but never have I used a shoe dye. I use Rit Dye and according to the color I make various strengths, boil water in old pot, add dye and literally dip shoe, in and quickly out. I have never had a bad one yet I even taped across the front of my shoe and did a multi color. Front down, in and out, quickly.
