Why are the back pockets on all of the dress pants I buy sewn up?
Okay, so this might go down as one of the stupidest YA questions ever, but I honestly don't get it.
I've been buying dress pants since I was 16, and I'm 18 now, and 90% of the time the back pockets (if there are back pockets) are sewn up! Right now, that's 9 different pairs. I end up ripping out the stitching so that I can utilize the pockets. But I never understood why they were sewn up in the first place.
The pants were made by all different brands and were sold in different stores, including several resale shops (which means, evidently, that the previous owners decided that the sewn up pockets were supposed to be there).
Any idea what purpose this serves??
youre supposed to rip the stich out, they do that so they hang nice and when you put them on theyre smooth, you should use a seem ripper though
